Natalie looked around to see Grandma and Grandpa, Mom, Uncle and Aunt, and another Aunt all sitting on the couch looking at her. She preps herself, stands up on her own, and begins to walk. One, two, three, four, five steps. Yes, she keeps going. She looks around to make sure everyone is looking. They are.
Now time for the victory lap. Natalie keeps walking but turns around and walks in a circle back to where she began. When she was content that she had enough attention, she plops onto the floor and soaks in all of the clapping, cheering, and unrelenting praise. She grins from ear to ear, claps, and says "YAY!" for herself.
Silly girl. Oh, and no such parade since.
