This Week

Wow, I really haven't had much to write about!  We have been pretty boring and lazy.

Our car battery is dead, so that leaves us stranded at home.  :(  Every time we save up to replace it, another unexpected bill pops up.  So, we will continue to wait.

The ants took over our playground, so there goes our last resort.

The kids and I have been quite stir crazy and I think we are all starting to get on each other's nerves.  Or, at least they are getting on mine.  :) 

Weston spends his days coloring.  I think he spends the greater majority of his day at the table with his markers.  He just flips from page to page in his notebook creating all sorts of works of art.  Those works of art have also transferred to him.  He is quite colorful as of late.  He used a marker to scratch his ear and got blue ink all over the inside of his ear - then did the same on the other side with yellow.  It was very humorous.  His hands, chest, shirt, and face are covered as well.  At least he is enjoying himself.

Natalie is just wandering all over the house trying to destroy as many things as she can.  Yesterday she tried (and almost succeeded) to knock the television off the entertainment stand.  She has also been pulling out all of the pots and pans and banging them on the tile, trying to get into Weston's markers, eating Play-doh, and lots more!  She also has recently become addicted to VeggieTales Silly Songs DVDs.  She is constantly tugging on me to put another disc in.  I guess there are worse things she could be addicted to.

Our one saving grace is of course the gym.  Unfortunately it isn't part of our morning routine anymore since we don't have a car, but we can at least go in the afternoon after Roland gets home from work.  It gets us out of the house - and we are grateful for that!

Roland has been busy, busy, busy with school.  We don't see much of him and when we do, he is stressed out of his mind.  We keep telling ourselves that we will not regret this decision and that it is best to do it now.  So, I tell myself that everyday - all day long.  Of course he has still managed to be the best husband and Daddy through it all.  He can't be as attentive as he used to be, but he is trying really hard and we greatly appreciate his efforts.  So, here's to the next two to two-and-a-half years!  May it go by quickly and painlessly!

So, that's what we have been up to.  Boring, I know.
