Friday July 9
Great Grandma and Grandpa came by to see us Friday. They spent the day just chillin' at our apartment. The kids loved having them here. They played blocks with Great Grandma and kept us entertained with giggles and lots of singing. I enjoyed being able to catch up with my Grandparents and have that time with them. They are amazing people and I love the time I get to spend with them.

Roland came home from work and we took the kids to the playground. The kids enjoyed new people to show off to. Great Grandma even chased the kids and went down the slides with them. What a great grandma!

That evening, we went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa. For it being so late, the kids did wonderfully. Weston enjoyed watching Nascar on the television which kept him occupied the whole time and Natalie chowed away at her corn on the cob. Definitely found a favorite.

Sunday July 11
Sunday we enjoyed a pleasant dinner with everyone. The kids quickly became way too much to handle so we didn't last long, but we enjoyed the time we did get with everyone.
Tuesday July 13
Tuesday we went to the Dallas Zoo. The kids always love going to the zoo. It was especially fun with two sets of grandparents doting. We visited the African animals first which is always a hit. The kids enjoyed the elephants, lions, giraffes, and cheetahs. It was incredibly hot so we didn't last too long. Great grandpa was having a difficult time as well. What a trooper he is! He had a TIA a week previous and still hung in there with us. We finished off at the children's area. Weston ran around with Grandpa in the water which he thought was great. I ran around after Natalie who was busy as ever. Grandpa even entertained the kids in the wagon by running over his foot over and over again. What a nice Grandpa. The kids thought it was the funniest thing ever. Hope his foot survived!

Wednesday July 14
Great grandma and grandpa left Wednesday. We drove by to say goodbye in the morning. We spent about an hour playing with them and talking. The kids loved the time with them and I also enjoyed the time I had to spend with them. We appreciated the opportunity to be with family.
