It has been almost a year since I have last written. That makes me so sad. Our kids just keep getting bigger and bigger and the time is passing so quickly. Every day is filled with laughs and little memories that I would like to treasure forever. But, these memories are so fleeting unless I capture them and document them. What little treasures and bundles of fun we have been blessed with. I hope I can remember to leave a piece of them on paper.
So, Halloween this year was a fun adventure as always. Weston was Ironman, Natalie was a little blue monster, and Auggie was a giraffe. And, I must say, he is by far the cutest giraffe I have ever seen!
The Sunday before Halloween we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Natalie wanted to draw and cut the pumpkin all herself - so she did! What a fun, independent little girl. I love her pumpkin! Weston drew his pumpkin, then decided to have me cut it for him after getting a little cut from the knife. What a silly guy. They both make me smile.

Aunt Nabeha arrived Halloween afternoon from Phoenix so she was able to join us for all of the fun. She is always a blast to have around. The kids just adore her.
We started the evening by going to see Grandma and Grandpa Summerhays. The kids were so excited to get going that they forgot their buckets! We visited for a bit, then cousin Tegan arrived with his mom and dad. Weston couldn't wait any longer. He was bouncing up and down saying "I'm so 'cited for candy!!!!" He couldn't contain himself from running down the street. What a little trooper. We went over to the neighbor's house to appease his appetite, then hopped in the car to head to the church's Trunk-or-Treat.

| Off to get candy |
We were the lame-o family who left their bucket of candy out in front of the car. Later as we were swinging back around, we saw the bucket being swarmed. It made me laugh. The kids moved super fast through the line and were done in no time flat.

Then, it was off to the neighborhood. Weston and Natalie were practically running from house to house. They had so much excitement. But, don't you forget that they were adorable in the process. The talked up a storm with everyone who answered the door. One man had a storm door in front of his main door. Natalie asks, "why do you have two doors?" The man very perplexed and caught off guard says, "I don't know. That is a good question." She seemed satisfied and went on her way. A few doors down, she asks another man, "do you like my costume?" [eyes batting]. Then, a few doors down from that, the front door was left slightly ajar. On the way up the steps, Weston tripped and hit the door on his way down, landing inside of the house. He looked a little stunned and embarrassed, tried to back up and shut the door, then finally decided to just "go with it." He stands in their house going, "hello? hellooooo?" The man looked super surprised to see a kid just standing in his front room. I could not stop laughing. What a silly guy.

After all the fun, we headed back home. Auggie was so exhausted that he laid himself on the ground in front of all the candy and just gnawed on wrappers. Auggie had a great time Trick-or-treating too. Dad took him to a few doors and Auggie held his bucket out with the biggest grin of all time. He thought it was just the greatest. He is definitely a fan of candy. He spent most of his time trying to figure out how to open the wrappers of all of these goodies in his bucket. He had a fantastic time. What an adorable guy.

Fun was had by all. Lots of candy was consumed. And everyone crashed. The next morning I woke to the sound of Natalie's bus out front. Oops!
