Friday night we decided to take the kids out to see some city Christmas lights in downtown Glendale. When we arrived, I noticed that it wasn't just a neighborhood that had decorated, it was a street fair! Oops! This could be interesting.
We parked quite a distance away and bundled the kids in the stroller. Weston refused to put his coat on so he ran around in just his Lightning McQueen pajamas. He didn't seem phased by it, but I sure felt like an irresponsible mother. Natalie was warm though - wrapped up in all kinds of blankets. She looked so cute with just her little face peering out.

Just as I suspected - utter meltdown when Weston saw the jumping castles, light sabers, and other various odds and ends he wanted to touch. After fighting with tantrum after tantrum, we decided to leave where the fair was at and just walk around the exterior roads. Weston found this quite enjoyable. Each tree was wrapped with Christmas lights which Weston found very exciting.

We spent the next twenty minutes or so running down the road touching all of the lights on the trees. He would scream "oooh! light!" and would touch his finger to one of the lights. Then he would spot another tree and repeat the same steps again. It was very entertaining. Natalie was laughing too. She thought her brother was pretty funny.

So, not really what we were expecting but I guess it wasn't a complete bust. Sure beats sitting at home and Weston enjoyed seeing all of the lights. Natalie just enjoyed being pushed in her stroller and watching all of the fun. Our kids are so cute!
