On July 15th Natalie turned 7 months old. Boy does the time fly! I just can't believe how old she is already! I am a little behind, so at her 6 month appointment, here were her measurements:
weight: 16 pounds 0 ounces (50%)
height: 25.5 inches (50%)
head: 17 inches (75%)
Natalie is such a joy. She has become a lot more relaxed and low key. She still loves to wiggle and kick her legs a lot, but she also enjoys quiet sitting time either by herself or on our laps. This was something we have never experienced with Weston so it is quite refreshing and fun!
Natalie loves books. She loves to look at the colors and pictures and flip through the pages. Natalie also loves all of the toys that make noises and light up. She enjoys batting at them with her hands as she stradles them on the floor.
Natalie can sit up completely on her own. She really shows no interest in crawling at all, however I have been able to get her to hold herself up on her knees and hands. Now we just have to teach her how to move! I also know she can roll over because I have seen her do it two or three times, but other than that, she refuses to do it. So, we don't really consider that one of her skills yet. :) She does not really speak or babble yet, but she coos all day long. Her coos are just so cute!
Natalie really likes to eat. I still breastfeed her but she is really enjoying the solid foods! She eats smashed up beans, rice cereal, cheerios, and applesauce. Usually she convinces us to give her whatever we are eating as well as she eyes it and reaches for it as we are trying to put it in our mouths.
Natalie is quite the social butterfly like her brother. She loves to flirt with everyone that will look at her and flashes her gummy smile everywhere. She loves other babies and tries to engage them in play. Most of the time they don't give her the time of day, but she still enjoys looking at them and cracking herself up. Her smile is infectious. She is just too cute. If she catches you looking at her, she will give you the brightest and largest smile you have ever seen. She is such a ham - especially for the camera. She loves that thing!
Her and Weston love each other so much. Weston tries so hard to play with her but doesn't quite understand that she is not at that level yet. He goes up to her all the time to give her a hug or to kiss her on the head. He also loves to pat her on the head saying "soft." His latest favorite is to go up and give her a big hug and say "suh-weee!" We always would say "you are so sweet!" when he would give her a hug or kiss, so now he does it and says "suh-wee" with a big grin. They are just too funny together. We catch them all of the time in the car giving each other little glances and laughing at each other's faces. They are such a joy!
