One Step Closer

Natalie is one step closer to take her precious first steps. We are now officially at 13 months old (as of today) and she has now mastered standing on her own two feet with no help! That is quite an accomplishment for our sweet little Natalie. She is so cute with how wobbly she is and the thought of actually letting go of my hand has terrified her for quite some time. Then, the other day she got this little twinkle in her eye, looked at me square in the face, and LET GO! She was startled, petrified, and excited all at once. She looked at me as if to say "LOOK AT ME!!!!!!!" She then proceeded to clap for herself while I praised her relentlessly. But, that was enough of that and she fell back to the floor where she was most comfortable. Since that day we have had many more episodes like this and she is getting braver and braver every day. She thinks it is so much fun to let go, clap, then grab back onto me again. Who knows, maybe soon she will take a step! I'm not counting on it, but one can hope right?
